1. Who we are

For the purposes of applicable data-protection law, we are the controller of personal information described in this policy, unless we state otherwise (for example where we act solely as a processor for a specific engagement).

2. Scope
This policy applies to information collected through our website (including the product catalog, block calculator, quote request flows, and contact forms), by email, and during ordinary sales and delivery operations where we reference this notice. It does not cover third-party sites we may link to; their policies govern their use of data.
3. Information we collect
We may collect:
- Contact and identity details — name, organisation, email address, phone number, and similar identifiers you provide.
- Project and commercial data — delivery addresses, site access notes, product selections, quantities, specifications, and messages you send in enquiries or quote requests.
- Technical data — IP address, browser type, device type, general location derived from IP, and cookies or similar technologies where used (see below).
- Communications — records of correspondence with us, including complaints and support requests.
4. How we use your information
We use personal information to:
- Respond to enquiries and operate our website, calculators, and quote tools;
- Prepare quotations, process orders, arrange delivery or collection, and manage accounts;
- Comply with legal and regulatory obligations applicable in The Gambia;
- Protect our business, website, and users (for example fraud prevention and security monitoring);
- Improve our products, services, and website experience, using aggregated or anonymised analytics where appropriate.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not use automated decision-making that produces legal or similarly significant effects solely by automated means in relation to the data described here.
5. Legal bases (where applicable)
Depending on the context, we rely on one or more of the following: your consent (for example where you subscribe to updates or accept non-essential cookies); contract performance (supplying products and services you request); legitimate interests (operating and securing our business, improving our website, and proportionate direct communication about your requests); and legal obligation (tax, accounting, or regulatory requirements).
6. Sharing and processors
We may share information with service providers who assist us (for example hosting, email delivery, or IT support) subject to appropriate confidentiality and processing terms. We may disclose information where required by law, court order, or competent authority in The Gambia, or to protect our rights and the safety of others. If our business undergoes a reorganisation, merger, or asset transfer, personal information may be transferred as part of that transaction with safeguards as required by law.
7. International transfers
Our primary operations are in The Gambia. If we use tools or subprocessors outside The Gambia, we will take steps consistent with applicable law to protect your information (for example contractual safeguards or adequacy assessments as relevant).
8. Retention
We retain personal information only as long as necessary for the purposes above, including to meet legal, accounting, or dispute-resolution requirements. Retention periods vary by record type; for example enquiry and quote records may be kept for several years where needed for contract or tax purposes unless a shorter period is required or agreed.
9. Security
We implement reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal information against unauthorised access, loss, or misuse. No internet transmission is completely secure; please use strong passwords and protect your own devices and accounts.
10. Your rights
Subject to applicable law in The Gambia, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict processing of your personal information, to object to certain processing, and to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent. You may also have the right to lodge a concern with a supervisory or data-protection authority where one exists. To exercise rights, contact us at support@qualitysolids.com with a clear description of your request. We may need to verify your identity before responding.
11. Cookies and similar technologies
We may use cookies or local storage where necessary for site operation (for example security or preferences) or, where permitted, for analytics. You can control cookies through your browser settings. Blocking essential cookies may affect site functionality.
12. Children
Our website and services are directed at businesses and adults involved in construction and procurement. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have received a child’s information in error, please contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.
13. Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of the website after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised policy where permitted by law; material changes may require additional notice or consent where required. Our Terms of Service govern use of the website and product supply.
